FUGU CHAIR: DESIGNED BY JASPER MORRISON

Designed by Jasper Morrison, the Fugu chair was introduced at this year’s Saloné. Made from solid oak and also available without arms, the Fugu chair’s gently curved seat and backrest are made using Maruni’s precision cutting technology.

The Fugu chair is a made from a single solid piece of wood. The Maruni Wood Industry uses their masterful manufacturing skills to create the detail of the chair’s curved surface which is beautifully and finely defined. “My intention was to design a wooden chair so comfortable that it wouldn’t need upholstery,” said Morrison.
