Architect and designer Tobia Scarpa graduated in 1969 from the University of Venice and in the same year won a “Compasso d’Oro” prize for his “Soriana” armchair designed for Cassina. Many of his designs can be found on show in some of the world’s key museums, including his ‘Libertà’ chair on show at the Louvre. As an architect he has worked for both public and private clients including the Benetton Group for whom he famously designed the industrial area and production plants in Castrette di Villorba (Treviso).
