We are proud to announce the arrival of Driade, one of design’s most creative companies, to the Arkitektura showrooms. The furniture brand’s work with Antonia Astori, Enzo Mari, Philippe Starck, Borek Sipek, Tokjujn Yoshioka, Ron Arad and many others has helped define the world of furniture design.

Driade was born in the tumultuous year of 1968 and this may go some way to explain its pursuit of a less conventional approach to furniture over the last forty years. With the recent appointment of David Chipperfield as the creative vision for the company, Driade once again seems primed to bring the artistic mind into the art of furniture.

In David Chipperfield’s hands, the eclectic and sometimes eccentric is still present. At the same time, with the recent re-issues of a forty year old Enzo Mari designed Elisa sofa and a shelving system by Konstantin Grcic from 1996, it seems that a recalibration of the brand is in process.

Recently unpacked and on display at our Arkitketura showroom in San Francisco are Gazelle by Park Associated, Forest shelving system by Nendo and Zigzag shelving by Konstantin Grcic. With more arriving each week, we’re honored to bring Driade to San Francisco.
